2017 New Jeep Compass Has CarPlay, Toronto!

Busy Toronto lives demand a vehicle with superior connectivity. The all-new 2017 Jeep Compass offers Apple CarPlay through a Uconnect dash interface. Buyers can choose from 5-, 7-, or 8.4-inch touchscreens, facilitating safe access to smartphone interfaces.

Jeep was among the first carmakers to announce plans for CarPlay back in 2014. After some finessing, the iPhone tool is now available for the all-new Compass, right on your car’s built-in display. This safety-focused tool allows the driver to stay focused on the road while getting directions, making calls, or listening to music. Messages can be sent and received as well, all without compromising safety. The other advantage: your in-car apps are as up-to-date as your phone iOS instead of being held back by a pre-installed infotainment unit.

Jeep Compass drivers can access CarPlay by using Siri, the voice-activated helpmate long associated with Apple. Or, you can opt for the touchscreen approach. Provided you have a recent model iPhone (iPads won’t work at this point), you can, as the Apple site says, “Just connect your iPhone and go.”
