2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody | Toronto, Mississauga

700 × 388
You may have already accepted the bad news that the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is playing hard to get. With Dodge building a mere 3300 of these factory drag racers, it’s pretty much a given that once the single-model-year item sells out, Demon-seeking drivers in Toronto and Mississauga will be out of luck. But here’s the good news: Dodge has announced that those sweet Demon widebody flares will be available on their regular Hellcat.

The 2018 Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody is a 707-horsepower Hellcat with the Demon's stand-out fender flares, 3.5-inches wider than the regular Challenger Hellcat. And there’s more to stoke your excitement, GTA drivers: 305/35 Pirelli P-Zeros, mounted on sleek 20 x 11-inch split-five-spoke aluminum wheels It’s probably the most practical wheel-and-tire package we’ve seen yet on a Hellcat. Previously, there were only the standard-issue all-seasons or an optional upgrade to 275/40 Pirelli P Zeros. These new tires give you the grip you want in a drag vehicle. And how about a widebody that clocks 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and snags a 10.9-second quarter-mile? Also new: the Widebody also brings you electric power steering, with Street, Sport and Track modes.

With enhanced cornering capabilities, the Widebody offers 0.97g of lateral grip, a notable improvement of 0.04. We’re thinking this car could be the most track-worthy Hellcat to date, with massive rubber under its wheel-wells. The basic model vaporized its rear tires if you cranked past 30% throttle, and the notorious Demon's DOT drag radials aren’t suited for much beyond the drag strip.

In terms of engine cooling, Dodge has stated that "engine power will not be de-rated due to cooling demands after 20 minutes of hard driving on a road course at an ambient temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit." Sounds track-worthy to us.

Ontario Chrysler is already taking Factory orders for the Hellcat Widebody and it will arrive in 90 days after ordering. Please call Ontario Chrysler's VP, Dave Pozzobon, at 905-609-2199 to order yours.
