2019 Jeep Cherokee Specs| For Sale| Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton
Nothing says summer like a new 2019 Jeep Cherokee available at our showroom in Toronto serving Brampton and Oakville. We’re confident that GTA drivers are going to love the new model crossover as much as we do. Following the wisdom of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” the carmaker has retained what works and focused on some popular changes to the previous generation’s design and interior roominess. They’ve also added a third engine option.
A contemporary flat-faced front grille pushes out the slotted grille and narrowed snout of the previous model. Snug between the Compass design and the larger Grand Cherokee option, the Cherokee has a wider face and larger headlamps, improving the overall look and staying true to its roots. The rear end is less bulb-shaped and they’ve added some nice design shifts like a capless fuel door, lighter liftgate, and LED wrapped taillights, to name a few changes.
The addition of a 2-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine to the existing menu of 2.4-liter 4 cylinder and the larger 3.2-liter V6 is a smart move on Jeep’s part. The turbocharged 4-cylinder retains good fuel economy but kicks a little more like the muscular V6 in terms of power. EPA ratings are as follows: with front-wheel drive: 26 mpg (9 l/100km) combined, with 23 mpg (10.2 l/100km) in the city and 31 mpg (7.6 l/100km) on the highway. The four-wheel-drive stats are: 25 mpg combined (9.4 l/100km), with 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway (10.7 l/100km and 7.6 l/100km). EPA ratings for the 2.4 L base engine are 25 mpg combined in FWD and 24 mpg combined in 4WD. Off-roading enthusiasts may wish to opt for the 2-litre turbo, but it depends on your specific needs as a driver which engine option will work best for you.
Still a Jeep with some trademark bounce in her ride, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee nevertheless has a smoother, more upscale feel on the road than her predecessor. Spacious, comfortable and cargo-conscious, the Cherokee gives good connectivity too, with the latest-gen Uconnect system. Wifi, speech-to-text and a variety of infotainment options round out a ride that works well for on-the-go drivers in Toronto and Mississauga.
