2020 Chrysler Voyager for Sale in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton | Ontario Chrysler

550 × 343

The old Plymouth Voyager played a highly influential role in the shift from other alternatives for family travel, like the station wagon. My father preferred to shoe horn all five of us and our stuff into whatever second hand two or four-door sedan that was being sold by our neighbor.  Neither were the best solutions, but they were all that was available at the time. The Voyager wasn’t the first minivan on the market, but it was the minivan that shifted the market, changing the way families move. The Plymouth brand was retired in 2001 and with it went the Voyager. Good things have a habit of coming back though and a redesigned, upgraded version of the Voyager will return to the streets of Canada for 2021. We predict the 2021 Chrysler Voyager will be a ride you will take with pride.

For a while, the Dodge Grand Caravan and the Chrysler Town and Country had to take up the slack for the mothballed Voyager. In 2017, the more upscale Town and Country opted for early retirement and now should really just be referred to as the Country, if you get my drift. Taking its place is the Chrysler Pacifica which has a lot of flashy bling. If your budget allows for flashy bling, all the more power to you. But if a basic ride that gives you a little more financial freedom to pick up that bicycle for Little Timmy, so he can get off that infernal game box appeals to you…well…Chrysler’s got yer back. The Voyager is an entry level version of the Pacifica.

Like the Pacifica, the Voyager will have a 3.6L V6 with 287 HP and 262-lb-ft of torque. Governing all this will be a 9-speed automatic transmission.

While you may pay a little less for the Voyager, we want to assure you that Chrysler didn’t skimp on the important stuff like the ride. The ride retains the silky smooth feel of the Pacifica, corners on a dime and hugs the curves like there is no way it is letting go of the road. We feel that the Voyager’s possessive nature where the road is concerned is a definite positive in the realm of family safety.

We don’t know yet how the Voyager will be packaged in Canada, but we can likely take the lead from what is happening in the U.S. The two lowest trim levels of the Pacifica will morph into the Voyager, becoming the Voyager L, LX and LXi (the latter exclusively for fleets).
