Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Rated Best Off-Road Vehicle

With many pickup trucks and SUVs focusing on providing comfort and fuel economy there seems to have been a softening of vehicles lately, and many Toronto drivers are understandably in favour of that trend.

But plenty of truck buyers still like to go off-roading. If you like to explore the wilds through rocks and mud, here are a few ways that the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock Edition fits the bill in providing the highest performance and flexibility.

For ten years the Wrangler Rubicon has topped the list when it comes to four-wheel drive SUVs. It has a set of components that make it the best off-road vehicle with superb off-road-duty parts. Now the Rubicon package adds on to that with hardware that’s even better, like a 4:1 transfer case that enables crawling at a slow speed, and a disconnect system with swaybar that frees up the suspension on the roughest trails where the Jeep requires more suspension flex. The 2015 Hard Rock Rubicon version included tough bumpers that had removable end caps, blacked out trim, rock rails to protect the bodytub sides and red tow hooks. A Torx tool kit with every possible tool to remove bumper cap ends, doors and roofs was also added.

Now in 2016 the Rubicon Hard Rock features bring even more performance options:

-    A custom power dome hood design has functional air vents for better performance and extra cooling
-    A 4:1 low gear ratio is enabled by the Rock-trac 4x4; increased torque for descending sharp inclines, crawling over rocks, or going at a low crawl if desired
-    A Dana 44 rear axle Tru-Lock mechanical locker is for capability off-road or in slippery conditions
-    A high-end Alpine® sound system with four 6.5-inch speakers, two weather-resistant tweeters and an all-weather subwoofer for deep bass beats is also part of the 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock
