New Dodge Dart Includes Tigershark Under The Hood

Dodge's Tigershark engine features its new MultiAir technology
for enhanced performance and fuel economy. Both the 2.0-liter and the 2.4-liter
versions now appear in the Dodge Dart lineup for 2014.
Meanwhile, the Dodge Dart Aero is the beneficiary of the efficient and yet
powerful 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four. Equipped with a standard six-speed
manual transmission, the Aero is EPA-rated at 41 miles per gallon on the
highway. We at Ontario
Chrysler
in Mississauga,
ON, are excited about all the ways that the new
2014 Dodge Dart builds upon recent successes, and we're excited to add it to
our inventory.

For example, the 2.4-liter Tigershark is now standard in the Dart SXT,
GT and Limited versions. This powerful four-cylinder engine generates 184
horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. The sporty GT includes a host of
features for the enthusiast, including special sports suspension, highly
responsive steering, integrated dual exhaust and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The
GT is also easily accessed via keyless entry, which is linked to a push-button
start. The driver and front seat passenger benefit from perforated and heated
Napa leather seating. Finally, the modern Uconnect infotainment system is the
perfect complement to this dynamic Dodge Dart.

The Dart SE gets the slightly smaller, 2.0-liter Tigershark engine. This
inline-four is still capable of 160 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque.
This fuel-efficient engine is EPA-rated at 36 miles per gallon on the highway.
Even though the MSRP of the SE is just $15,995, it still includes features like
four-wheel anti-lock brakes, 10 standard air bags and power windows.

Yes, the Dodge Aero is impressively EPA-rated at 41 miles per gallon
on the highway with the standard six-speed manual. Even with the optional
six-speed automatic, the Aero gets a 39-miles-per-gallon highway rating. Inside
the cabin, the motorist enjoys a standard 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen media
center mounted on a floating island bezel. The Dart Aero comes with a standard
rear view camera, SiriusXM radio, and a customizable 7-inch, full-color LED
screen that replaces most traditional instrument cluster elements. Voice
command is a part of the Bluetooth system. This allows the accessing of
real-time information from SiriusXM travel link merely using natural voice
commands.

Whichever new 2014 Dodge Dart you consider, the combination of
efficiency, performance, handling and infotainment is sure to
impress.
